About

Hi! I’m Hayley, the founder and face behind The Adventurous Kitchen. I am a mum of two, a trained chef and self-proclaimed foodie who wants to bring the art of cookery back into education and make it fun and inclusive for all.

Food has always been a massive part of my life, from taking part in cookery courses in Asia to working in hospitality and catering for guests when hosting chalets in the French Alps.

Not only has cooking been a passion for me though, it is through cooking and baking that I have been able to work through some struggles in my life; it is like therapy for me.

I honestly feel like if it wasn’t for my love of experimenting with fresh ingredients and cultural foods, my life could have taken a very different path.

I know this could be the same for many. This is where the vision for The Adventurous Kitchen began.

The Adventurous Kitchen program is based on inclusiveness. All children can enjoy cooking irrespective of their academic ability.

There is no right or wrong way, so children can enjoy cooking up my recipes with my support, and each dish will be beautifully unique to them. It is impossible to get wrong!

My sessions are chilled, fun and fully inclusive, in the hope that children leave feeling accepted, empowered and, most importantly, happy.
